AEP Adds Aftermarket Axle Specialist Interparts

The Riverside Company and co-investor Investcorp have completed the acquisition of Interparts, an add-on to the Arrowhead Engineered Products (Arrowhead) platform. Based in Plainview, New York, Interparts distributes branded replacement products for the powersports, industrial and automotive aftermarkets.

Interparts’ primary product lines include axles, joints and components, which all require frequent replacement and repair throughout the lifecycle of a vehicle. Arrowhead is a specialized provider of a broad array of non-discretionary, mission-critical replacement parts for off-highway applications.

“Interparts is a highly regarded market leader in aftermarket replacement axles for powersports vehicles,” said Riverside Managing Partner Suzy Kriscunas. “This acquisition introduces an attractive new product category for Arrowhead to sell into its existing customer base and targeted end markets.”

Arrowhead has identified opportunities to drive incremental growth in a combination with Interparts, said Riverside Principal Brad Roberts.

“This is an exciting acquisition for Arrowhead,” Roberts said. “By combining Interparts’ product category leadership and Arrowhead’s new product development and sales and marketing infrastructure, we can accelerate sales and margin growth of the business.”

Riverside and Investcorp continue to strive to build Arrowhead both organically and through acquisition. Interparts represents the fourth acquisition completed since the initial platform acquisition.

Working with Kriscunas and Roberts on the deal for Riverside were Senior Associate Laura Swearingen, Associate Mark Barron and Operating Partner Steve Stubitz. Riverside Partner Anne Hayes helped secure financing for the deal.
